Las Vegas, the land of bright lights and debauchery, 5-star hotels and restaurants, sketchy deals and gambling binges. It's Disney for adults! Every kind of adult can have an epic adventure in Las Vegas.

Adventures
For the chill adult:
Coca-Cola store and it’s "Tastes of the World"
You’ll find a little bit of everything Coca Cola related in there! T-shirts, recycled sunglasses, memorabilia, pens, mugs, #UNameIt. You can also take pictures with the Coca Cola Polar Bear! I recommend it. It’s fun and cute.
Then, there is the “Tastes of the World” tasting section. It is my favorite activity for those new to Las Vegas. You can get a sampling of Coca Cola soft drinks from around the world. Prepare to be shocked and have a good laugh at the reactions. If you have a couple dollars, try the “floats” option, as well. You get a sampling of Coca Cola sodas with a little scoop of vanilla ice cream in each cup. Go ‘head, treat yo’self. Don’t forget the water! Costs around $20.

Do a little sight-seeing and check out the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign.
It’s iconic. You will likely find a few characters to enhance your picture for a fee or tips – think showgirls (some without bras), Elvis, etc.

Visit the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead! Both are beautiful and awe-inspiring. Insta and Snap worthy. It’s a bit of a drive from The Strip, but nothing insufferable. The Hoover Dam crosses over into Arizona. There are tours offered, but you can also park on the Arizona side and take a few pictures for free. And, you can be in two states at once!
On a hot summer day, Lake Mead is a perfect escape from the heat. The waters are shades of turquoise. There is an entrance fee to the park. You can park near the lake and have a gorgeous day by the water. You can rent a boat or even go on a tour of the lake. Some tours include a nice lunch or dinner.

The Bellagio is the Bellagio. It's iconic. The ceiling of the lobby is more beautiful than some entire dwellings. Walk through the lobby, the conservatory, and the botanical gardens. It is magical (and free!).
Go to Jean Philippe Patisserie – in the Bellagio or the Aria. After you gaze at the chocolate fountain, order something fancy & delicious.
For the music and/or show-loving adults:
Catch a few shows and/or concerts!
One of the reasons I love Vegas – the shows! Where else on planet earth can you see Mariah Carey, your pick of Cirque De Soliel’s 1001 show options, Britney Spears, Boyz II Men, Carlos Santana, Jabbawockeez, Ricky Martin and Reba McIntyre in like a three-day stretch?! NOWHERE… This does not even consider the shows and artists on tour visiting Vegas. You can relive your childhood or adolescence in 1 weekend.
Tip: Check your hotel lobby/guest services for show deals. Several hotels offer complimentary tickets to a variety of shows.

For the club going adults:
Las Vegas has no shortage of clubs nor parties: day parties, pool parties, popular nightclubs, late night clubs, late late night clubs which you should never admit you’ve visited...
Feel like Jay-Z or a Kardashian and “end up at 1 OAK” for a celebrity sighting or just to check it off of your bucket list. Note – it is small and men are not allowed to wear any kind of shorts. My husband had on salmon colored, Ralph Lauren, linen shorts and was not allowed in.

Consider a party bus package – a bus will pick you up at a specified location and take you to a few clubs throughout the night. It offers some variety and gives you the freedom to truly enjoy it.
There are also several “in the know” only, high-class clubs in Vegas. If you have the right amount of zeros in your bank account, and the right friends, there is a secret door in the Bellagio you may find. Happy hunting!

For all adults:
GAMBLE
Blackjack, poker, penny slots! Go try ‘em all. Seriously – try your luck at all the big names on the strip. Get the experience.
Once it’s out of your system, try to figure out where the looser slots are at the big casinos and in Old Vegas. “Looser” refers to the slot machines that pay out more/more frequently (i.e. in human speak – you have a higher chance of winning). Now, the experienced gambling vets will sit at a loose slot machine for hours. So, be prepared to wait and experiment.

If you would like a change of pace, try Bingo. Again, seriously. It was one of the best gambling experiences I’ve had in Vegas! So. Much. Fun. You get free doughnuts in the morning and complimentary drinks (alcohol, beer, soda, coffee...)

Walk The Strip
See the tourist attractions. Explore the many casinos. Do a bit of shopping. Take pictures with the Bliss Dancer statue. Be amazed by the street performers. Get a drink. Relax. Go, enjoy it.

Tip: again, check the hotel lobby/guest services for a welcome packet and discounts. I cannot tell you how many free drinks and appetizers we’ve received over the years, courtesy of those hotel welcome packets.

Eat
Buffets…so many buffets
Try a few of them. All the major hotels on the strip and in Old Vegas offer buffet options. Check out the menu, read a few reviews, and sample all that Vegas has to offer.
Tip: check the hotel lobby or guest services - it is your best friend. They offer vouchers to certain hotel buffets. I've gotten seriously discounted or free meals due to these vouchers.
Diablo’s Cantina is in the Monte Carlo. It is a great place to people watch, catch a game, and (of course) eat! Their tex-mex offerings are delicious. The chips and salsa are a great starter to any meal. The nachos are ev-er-y-thing. Most importantly, you can order a huge margarita…seriously, like 32 ounces.
Note: I’ve seen some negative reviews since I’ve last visited Diablo’s. I always recommend that you read the reviews, but go in with an open mind. Beware of the confusing drink specials. I’ve had great times at Diablo’s, but understand that there are other experiences.
My first breakfast in Vegas is always spent here. Everything you order will be big…and amazing. Order your meal, eat…then, go take a nap. You’ll need it.
Try the Tractor Driver Combo if you like pancakes. Grab the BBBLT if you’re craving bacon. The burgers are always a good option.

Have you been to a Cajun crawfish broil? This will take you right back to that delicious place. Order crawfish and/or shrimp by the pound. Hot n’ juicy seasoning. Pick your desired heat. You will not regret it! You cannot turn your back on a place that properly equips you by giving you bibs and gloves to eat your by-the-pound goodness...
If you're not a Cajun broil kind of person, try one of the many other options.

Pricey and I did not enjoy the food. However, I live for their Frrrozen Hot Chocolate. Skip the food and come here for some dessert.
Overall/Quick Notes:
Vegas can be expensive. However, you can entertain yourself for little to nothing. Have an open mind. Save a few dollars for breakfast.
